Red rubber is extremely popular for gasket cutting materials due to its good physical ability to conform to uneven flange edges. It is an economical, general service option for hot or cold water, low pressure steam, gas and air applications. It should not be used in services that contain oils, grease, chlorate or strong acids. It can be water-jet fabricated or die cut to any shape.

Nitrile (Buna-N) Rubber is for use in applications requiring high resistance to petroleum based fluids.

Nitrile has a high resistance to oil and gasoline.  It offers superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids and good resistance to solvents, alkalis and acids.  It performs well in a wide range of service temperatures.

KLINGERSIL C-4401 is a compressed, non-asbestos, universal gasket material for use in a wide range of applications. This general-purpose gasket material has excellent sealability, chemical resistance and resistance to high temperatures.  Often called “green sheet” material, it is an excellent choice for a many gasketing applications.

This material is manufactured with aramid fiber reinforced with a nitrile binder.
